Bob Armstrong | two-year term

Bob is a seasoned executive and corporate director with extensive experience in finance, governance and strategic leadership. Contributing a keen understanding of member-focused technology, financial expertise, communication skills and governance experience, Bob has served on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board for ten years, including prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union. He is currently Board Chair and previously served as Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee.

Bob’s Board experience includes directorships with Rocky Mountaineer and the Institute of Corporate Directors, and he was previously on the Board of Central 1 Credit Union. His executive background includes leadership roles with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, where he held executive positions including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Strategic Development Officer.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Bob is committed to the community and serves as Board Chair of both Ballet BC and the Chris Spencer Foundation, and is an active member of Social Venture Partners.

Bob is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (FCPA, FCA) and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Gina Arsens | three-year term

Gina is a seasoned executive and corporate director with experience in leadership, finance, technology, transformation and governance with a commitment to community, integrity, and growth. Prior to joining Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union’s Board in 2026, following the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Gina served on Prospera Credit Union’s Board for six years, including as Board Chair.

Gina’s Board experience includes directorships with Beanworks AP, the YWCA and York House School. She is the Founder & CEO of Yumasoy Foods Ltd., a Vancouver-based food company. Previously, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Ideon Technologies Inc. and Digital Supercluster, as well as CEO of a software company, bringing extensive experience in financial oversight, strategy, capital markets, and operational leadership within complex organizations. Earlier in her career, Gina was an equity analyst at Ramond James; held leadership positions at Finning International; and served as Vice President at Normac Appraisals.

Gina is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (FCPA, FCA), a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She has been honored as one of BC’s Top 40 under 40, one of BC’s Most Influential Women in Finance, and a “Game Changer, One to Watch” by Natural Products Canada.

Charlotte Burke | two-year term

Charlotte is an experienced senior executive having worked with Microsoft and Bell Canada, leading teams through major technology transformations in highly regulated industries. Charlotte has served on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board for seven years, including as Chair of the Human Resources Committee. Her tenure began prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union.

Charlotte’s Board experience includes serving on both public and private Boards, including Halton Health Services, Postmedia Networks, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and Acadia University. She is currently on the Board of Adentra Inc.

Beyond her corporate roles, Charlotte volunteers her time with several organizations in her community as an advisory and advocate for business start-ups, helping women and young entrepreneurs build the next generation of successful Canadian leaders and companies.

She has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Acadia University and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Gigi Chen-Kuo | one-year term

Gigi is an experienced senior executive, legal advisor and governance professional within the public and not-for-profit sectors. Her 30-year career in public transportation included roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Interim CEO, and General Counsel & Executive Vice-President Corporate Services at TransLink, with experience operating within a complex regulatory compliance environment. Gigi is currently the CEO/Executive Director of the Law Society of BC. Gigi has served as a director on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board since 2024, including prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union.

Gigi’s Board experience includes directorships with the Union Gospel Mission Board where she serves as Board Chair, the British Columbia Automobile Association and the Transportation Investment Corporation. Gigi is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at UBC Peter A. Allard School of Law, and previously served on the Boards of Commissioners BC, Consumer Protection BC, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC.

Gigi has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Jill Donaldson | two-year term

Jill is an accomplished corporate director with deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, governance, enterprise risk and executive talent oversight. A former senior corporate and securities lawyer with more than twenty-five years of experience, she brings strong analytical rigour, financial acumen and a proven track record in guiding complex transactions, strengthening governance frameworks and supporting leadership transitions in capital-intensive, highly regulated sectors.

Before joining the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board in 2026, Jill served on Prospera Credit Union’s Board for four years, including as Chair of the Business Transformation Committee. She currently serves as a director of Fireweed Metals Corporation and NorthIsle Copper and Gold.

Jill has a Bachelor of Laws and a commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. She also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the GCB.D (Global Sustainability and ESG) designation from Competent Boards.

She is active in the community as Vice Chair of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and as a Governor on the Board of York House School.

Susan Dujmovic | one-year term

Susan is a seasoned corporate director with a wealth of expertise in risk management and compliance. Her executive career includes over 30 years with HSBC Bank Canada (now RBC), where she specialized in enterprise risk management, compliance, governance, and corporate sustainability. Susan has served on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board for five years, including as Chair of the Risk Review Committee. Her tenure began prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union.

Susan’s extensive Board experience spans provincial and federal Crown corporations, as well as regulatory organizations, showcasing her leadership in governance. Her Board experience includes directorships with Infrastructure BC, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association, and the Royal Canadian Mint.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Susan is a dedicated community leader who actively supports non-profit initiatives and currently serves on the Board of the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

Susan has a Bachelor of Administration from the University of British Columbia and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is a Canadian Board Diversity Council, Diversity 50 award recipient.

Jerome Dwight | three-year term

Jerome is the Cofounder and Executive Chairman of BoomerangFX, a leading healthcare technology company operating in over 20 countries, ranked 23rd fastest-growing technology company in North America on the Deloitte Fast 500 and 6th in Canada on the Deloitte Fast 50. As an entrepreneur, Jerome brings experience launching and scaling ventures across fintech, SaaS, and financial services. Jerome has served as a director on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board since 2022, including prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union.

Jerome previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Bank of New York Mellon Canada and led RBC’s international wealth management subsidiaries across 15 countries. During the 2008 financial crisis, he was appointed by Canada’s Federal Minister of Finance as a senior advisor to help design regulatory and stimulus measures to stabilize the economy.

Jerome is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a Master of Business Administration from York University. He was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and one of the Top 25 Lending Executives in Canada by the Canadian Lenders Association.

Ingrid Leong | one-year term

Ingrid is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with deep expertise in finance, wealth management, tax, and governance. She began her career with PwC Vancouver and has since worked with numerous families and high-net-worth individuals, leading their family office function and providing critical expertise in the areas of portfolio management, asset allocation, tax and estate planning, and multigenerational philanthropy. Prior to joining Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union’s Board in 2026, following the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Ingrid served on Prospera Credit Union’s Board for two years.

Ingrid’s Board experience includes directorships with Canada Council for the Arts, and the inaugural Board of InBC Investment Corp.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ingrid is committed to supporting the local community and previously served on the Board of The Forum (formerly the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs), an organization dedicated to supporting and elevating women entrepreneurs. Ingrid was also previously a director with Ballet BC.

Ingrid has a Bachelor of Science, Minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia and has been recognized as one of BC’s Most Influential Women in Finance.

Nancy McKenzie | three-year term

Nancy is a professional corporate director with expertise in strategic, operational, financial and executive leadership. During her 19-year career with Seaspan ULC, the last 12 as Chief Financial Officer, she was responsible for leading finance, information technology, risk management, supply chain, security, corporate communications and managing large capital projects. Nancy has served on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board for eight years, including six years as Vice Chair and three years as Chair of the Risk Review Committee. She also chaired the Board Special Committee responsible for overseeing the merger of Coast Capital, Prospera and Sunshine Coast credit unions.

Nancy’s Board experience includes her previous roles as Chair of the Board of Governors for the University of British Columbia and as a director of UBC Investment Management, along with her current roles as Chair of the Audit Committee for Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee, and as a Board member of FortisBC.

In addition to her corporate experience, Nancy is an avid community supporter, currently serving on the Board of the YWCA BC, and has volunteered with youth sports organizations and campaigned for multiple health charities.

Nancy is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (FCPA, FCA) and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She has received several awards for her leadership including CFO of the Year, BC’s Most Influential Women in Finance, BC’s Most Influential Business Leaders, Association of Women in Finance Peak Award for Board Leadership and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of British Columbia.

Firdos Somji | three-year term

Firdos is an accomplished global financial services executive and change champion with expertise in member experience management, strategy development, corporate governance, M&A integrations, business transformations, risk and operations management, and cross-cultural leadership. During his 40-year career at Scotiabank, he held a variety of senior leadership roles in operations, retail, commercial, and small business banking. Firdos has served on the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union Board for four years, including as Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. His tenure began prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union.

Firdos’ Board experience includes serving as the Chair of the Departmental Audit Committee for the Government of Canada (CBSA) and as Director and Chair of Governance & Nominating Committee for Asthma Canada.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Firdos is passionate about giving back to his community, acting as an advisor and strategic mentor to entrepreneurs to help them grow and realize their business growth potential. He also volunteers on the Governors Circle for Oak Valley Health and serves on the Dalhousie University MBA Advisory Council.

Firdos has a Master of Business Administration in Financial Services from Dalhousie University, is a fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers with honors and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Gavin Toy | three-year term

As President & Chief Executive Officer, Gavin Toy oversees Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands while setting the stage for future credit union partnerships.

With an unwavering focus on delivering value for members, engaging employees and supporting local communities, Gavin has spent the past 30 years helping to grow BC member-based organizations. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Gavin served as Prospera’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Prospera, Gavin held several executive positions with the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) including as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer.

Gavin is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA, FCA). He is a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Leadership program, holds a Bachelor of Business from Simon Fraser University and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Deeply committed to supporting his profession and giving back to his local community, Gavin has served on the Board of the Canadian Credit Union Association (including as Vice Chair), Credential Financial Inc. (now Aviso), as well as Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, including as Board Chair.

Ania Cox, Chief Integration & Operational Effectiveness Officer

As Chief Integration & Operational Effectiveness Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Ania is responsible for integration oversight and execution, partner onboarding, operational effectiveness and business transformation as well as back-office operations.

Ania is a people first executive with deep experience leading large organizational transformations – spanning technology implementations, innovative human resources programs, process optimization and building shared service organizations. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Ania served as Coast Capital’s Chief People Officer. She has also held senior roles across the oil, gas and forestry sectors, working in Canada, the United States, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

Ania holds a Master of Organizational and Industrial Psychology from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science from York University. She is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, A Loving Spoonful and the Vancouver Youth Choir.

Daryl Hosein, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Daryl is responsible for treasury and capital markets, financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and financial and regulatory reporting functions.

Daryl brings over 25 years of banking and financial services experience to his role and is recognized for fostering strong teams and leading innovative capital planning. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Daryl served as Coast Capital’s Chief Financial Officer. He held senior roles at CIBC in Canada and Barbados, including serving as managing director and group treasurer at CIBC First Caribbean International Bank, where he managed treasury operations across 17 countries.

Daryl holds a Bachelor of Administration from York University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Daryl serves on the board of trustees for the Credit Union Pension and Benefits Trust, chairing the Investment Committee. He is also a board member of the Vancouver Youth Choir.

Cary Ransome, Chief Member Experience Officer

As Chief Member Experience Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Cary is responsible for lines of business including retail and personal banking, wealth, business and commercial banking, and vehicle leasing.

Cary has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the Canadian financial services industry. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Cary served as Prospera’s Chief Member Experience Officer. Before joining Prospera, he served as Chief Retail and Operating Officer at Innovation Credit Union. His past roles also include Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at Conexus Credit Union, Senior Vice-President of Retail Banking at Servus Credit Union, and Vice-President of the Superior North District (Ontario) at TD Bank.

Cary holds a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University and is a graduate of the leadership program at Queen’s University. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, as well as a Personal Financial Planner designation through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Cary is an active contributor to the credit union system, having served on the board of Wyth Financial (formerly Concentra Bank). He is also deeply committed to his community, currently serving on the boards of the University of the Fraser Valley and Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford.

Peter Roberts, Chief Risk Officer

As Chief Risk Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Peter is responsible for enterprise and operational risk, credit risk management, quantitative risk management, compliance, financial crimes risk management and privacy, in alignment with the credit union’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Peter served as Coast Capital’s Chief Risk Officer. Collectively, Peter brings over 30 years of financial service experience to his role, including progressively senior roles within HSBC Bank Canada.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba. He also sits on the Canadian Bankers Association Risk, SMSB Risk and Mortgage Specialist committees, is director for the Risk Management Association (Vancouver) and a former board member of the Accounting Standards Board of Canada.

Peter has a strong history of giving back to communities. He is the former Vice-President of the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter and former Co-Treasurer for the Rotary Club of Langley.

TJ Schmaltz, Chief People, Communications & Corporate Services Officer

As Chief People, Communications & Corporate Services Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, TJ is responsible for people experience, learning and development, change management, recognition and payroll, total rewards, communications, corporate support and government affairs.

Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, TJ served as Prospera’s Chief People and Legal Officer. Before joining the credit union system, TJ served in senior roles in a variety of industries, most recently as the Chief Human Resources Officer for a large multi-national, focused on rapid expansion through mergers and acquisitions across North America.

TJ holds a Bachelor of Common Law (J.D.) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa. TJ is a designated Chartered HR Professional and was awarded the title of Fellow Chartered Professional in Human Resources (FCPHR) in 2018. He also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

TJ serves on the boards of the Credit Union Pension and Benefits Trust, the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, and the Chief Isaac Group of Companies, a Yukon-based Indigenous economic development corporation. He is also a published author and part-time post-secondary instructor at British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Lisa Skakun, Chief Legal & Corporate Development Officer

As Chief Legal & Corporate Development Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Lisa is responsible for legal, regulatory affairs and strategic partnerships, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as being Corporate Secretary and overseeing corporate governance functions supporting the Board of Directors and operating committees.

Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Lisa served as Coast Capital’s Chief Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer and held senior leadership roles across people and culture, financial crimes risk management, communications, and government relations. She previously served as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer for Mogo Finance Technology and Senior Corporate Counsel for Schneider Electric (formerly Xantrex Technology Inc.)

Lisa has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Laws in Business Law (LLM) from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. She also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Recognized for her leadership excellence, Lisa was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in 2022 and recognized by the Surrey Board of Trade in 2023 for Corporate Leadership. She is also a recipient of the Lexpert Zenith Award: Celebrating Women in Law, the Association of Women in Finance’s PEAK Rising Star award and the National Post’s Tomorrow’s Leader award.

Lisa currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nano One Materials. She was previously Board Chair for Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Board Member for the Cause We Care Foundation, Chair of the BC Business Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and a Member of the BC Securities Commission Law Advisory Committee.

Jeff Wong, Chief Digital, Information & Technology Officer

As Chief Digital, Information & Technology Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Jeff is responsible for enterprise-wide information technology (IT), cyber security, digital banking platforms and transformation, artificial intelligence, enterprise architecture, as well as the enterprise project management office.

Jeff has 30 years of experience managing complex, large-scale, and multi-year business and technology transformations. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Jeff served as Coast Capital’s Chief Digital, Information and Technology Officer. Before his time with Coast Capital, Jeff was a partner in PwC’s Consulting practice in Vancouver, leading the national merger integration and divestiture practice, and finance function effectiveness efforts across Western Canada. He has extensive experience planning and executing merger integrations for companies ranging from Fortune 500 multinationals to mid-market and private organizations, with 17 years at PwC, including 11 years in the PwC New York and Los Angeles offices.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Simon Fraser University’s Chartered Accountant Co-Operative Program and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Catherine Wood, Chief Product, Marketing & Shared Services Officer

As Chief Product, Marketing & Shared Services Officer for Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union and its family of brands, Catherine is responsible for strategy, corporate-wide product, marketing and brand, middle office operations, call centre operations, member experience design and integration, social purpose and community investment, enterprise analytics and business intelligence, strategic sourcing, as well as real estate and facilities.

Catherine brings over 25 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry. Prior to the merger of Prospera, Coast Capital and Sunshine Coast credit unions to create a combined federal credit union, Catherine served as Coast Capital’s Chief Product, Marketing and Wealth Officer. She has held senior roles at Aviso, Qtrade, TD Bank and Assante, where she led various business and support functions as well as strategic transformations across banking, wealth and insurance sectors.

Catherine holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Information Studies from the University of Toronto. She holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in addition to multiple financial credentials including the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Nationally recognized in the financial services industry, Catherine has twice been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women and recognized among the Top 50 Wealth Professionals and Top 50 Women in Life Insurance.

Catherine currently serves on the board of Skate Canada and the Risk Committee of the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada as well as co-lead the ICD Non-for-Profit Chair program. She is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and accessibility, as well as financial advancement through improvements in literacy, income growth and opportunity.
